HERC Team Representatives
Team Reps are appointed by the Running Leadership team for a term that runs from September to August. Team reps will be gender neutral, i.e. not specific to Men’s or Ladies teams.
There will be two Team Reps for each of the following…
HERC currently enters teams in the following Road and Track leagues/events…
For the CC6 League, the club competes in seven races and hosts one race.
For the Hampshire Cross Country League, the club competes in five races and also enters a team in the Hampshire XC Championships in January.
The responsibilities of the Team Reps, with support from each other, are as follows…

- The Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL) (12 races - road - September to June))
- RR10 Cross Country League (12 races - April to August)
- CC6 Cross Country League (8 races - September to March)
- Hampshire Cross Country League - HCCL (5 races - October to February)

- The Miles of Miles (Single event - track - June)
- The Lakeside 5K Series (5 races - road - April to August)
- The Hampshire Road Relay Championships (Single event - road - TBA)

The responsibilities of the Team Reps, with support from each other, are as follows…
- To promote and distribute information about the events in advance
- To encourage participation by members.
- To ensure that all members are entered into races under Hedge End Running Club, so that they’re included in the team results.
- To know the rules of the competitions and races, for example to ensure that members know that race entries must be transferred correctly. using the transfer rules which may vary from race to race.
- To ensure that all HERC finishers are correctly recorded in the race results.
- To collect and submit the results from the races (Cross Country races only)
- To make members aware when fixtures clash or coincide, so they may prioritise where they choose to run, or how they can successfully manage to combine races.
