Said by some to be the toughest CC6 course so far, Halterworth, Romsey and Southampton Tri put on a great, tough cross country race at Kings Garn Inclosure. Well done to everyone that went made the icy trek over to the New Forest on Sunday the 22nd of January 2017.

Chris Brooks was Member of the Month for December 2016.
Chris has worked incredibly hard in his training and made tremendous improvements in his running. He's represented the club in many road race and cross countries and following successfully completing his Leadership in Running Fitness course, has got involved on the coaching side, giving up his time for the benefit of other club members. Change of club - new online process available
From today (11 January 2017) registered athletes moving their first claim membership between England Athletics affiliated clubs must perform this through an online process. (This online process is for changing clubs within England only. If you are transferring to a club elsewhere in the United Kingdom you will need to complete the paper applications from the respective Home Nations Governing bodies). The online process has replaced the current paper-based process and is a follows:
Badger Farm in Winchester was the venue for the first CC6 race of 2017. Thanks to Winchester, Southampton AC and Solent Running Sisters for hosting CC6 R5 on Sunday the 8th of January 2017.
Well done to all the Hedgies that travelled to Lord Wandsworth College near Hook for round 4 of the Southern Cross Country League on Monday the 2nd of January 2017. This was the largest HERC turnout of the season for this league with several first-timers.

Men: Will Baggs - 40 Peter O'Donnell - 41 Kevin Martin - 42 Carlo van Leeuwen - 46 Keith Sheppard - 124 Keith Spiers - 126 Tim Ford - 178 Gavin Kinley - 215 Rob Jones - 267 Martyn Judd - 278 Ladies: Claire Powell - 33 Kirsty Cartwright - 37 Melanie Ford - 92 Linda Cooper - 123 Tracy Puttock - 165 Both Men's and Ladies teams finished in 10th place, with Hedge End Running Club placed 9th overall of 23 clubs.
