The Eastleigh 10K held on Sunday the 24th of March was a HERC Club Championship race. The results were as follows:

The Eastleigh 10K on Sunday the 24th of March will be a HERC Club Championship race. 

This weekend will see the 7th Club Championships which in the past have been run over several different distances.

Your running team are planning to give more notice for the next one which is likely to be later this year and over a longer distance!

For Eastleigh 10K we will award medals or trophies to the following:
Ladies 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall
Men: 1st, 2nd and 3rd Overall

1st in each age category:
Ladies: Senior Lady, V35, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60
Men: Senior Man, V40, V45, V50, V55, V60.

Positions will be based on chip times as usual and remember there are pacers for those that are looking for a PB.

​An awards evening is being planned for the Autumn when these prizes will be given out.

January’s Member of Month Award is presented to Christopher Chester.

Chris has participated tirelessly for the club on many occasions in all leagues, such as HRRL, RR10 and CC6.  He’s also very supportive and helpful to other members, demonstrating all the Hedgie values.

His form of late, in particular, earned him numerous nominations for Member of the Month.  This began with him running a new Parkrun PB of 19:39 at the end of December.  Then in January he ran a new 10k PB of 41:02 at Stubbington, followed by coming third in the V50 category at the Romsey 5 Mile race whilst finishing within 4 seconds of his PB.  He then followed this up with a 10 Mile PB at the beginning of February at Ryde (of all places!)

HEDGE END RUNNING CLUB: NOTICE OF 2019 AGM
 
The club’s Annual General Meeting will be held on Thursday 28th March 2019 commencing at 20.015 in the Pavilion at the Ageas.  
 
The club is administered by a Committee and all positions are up for election this year for a two year term:-

• Treasurer
• Membership
• Communication
